The anime Blame! is set in a city where thousands of levels overlap, making it difficult to distinguish the sky from the ground. This vast, multi-level city is the result of an unknown force that has distorted time and space. The main character, Kirii, searches for the Net Terminal Genes, a genetic trait that allows humans to resist the influence of the city's chaotic environment.
