The Belt of Deltora, forged by blacksmith Adin with seven powerful gems from each of the continent's seven tribes, had kept the kingdom safe from the Shadow Lord's overthrow attempts in the past. The Belt's power, however, was eventually broken when the Shadow Lord reclaimed the throne, scattering the gems across the land. Years later, Lief, the son of Jarred and a skilled young adventurer, sets out to gather the scattered gemstones and reassemble the Belt, accompanied by his friends Barda and Jasmine, to restore peace to Deltora. The journey is fraught with peril as Lief faces various obstacles and foes in his quest to defeat the Shadow Lord.
