Nicholas Brown and Worick Arcangelo, aka the Handymen, work as mercenaries in Ergastalum, tackling jobs that others can't handle. They're hired by various clients, including mob syndicates and the police, making them versatile problem solvers. After taking on a job to kill a local pimp, they recruit Alex Benedetto, a prostitute they're supposed to eliminate, to protect her from those who want her gone. This decision sets them up for a confrontation with a powerful new threat emerging in the city, where Twilights, people with superhuman abilities born from a specific drug, are being hunted.
