Maboroshi

Masamune, a third-year middle school student, resides in a town sealed off due to a steel mill explosion. The incident caused time to halt, forcing residents to maintain an unchanging daily routine, as they long for a return to normalcy. Masamune's encounter with Mutsumi, his enigmatic classmate, leads them to a girl near the fifth furnace who is mute and resembles a wild wolf. This unexpected meeting upsets the balance of the world, prompting an unstoppable force driven by the desire of boys and girls to break free from their mundane lives.
