Akio Honjou is a high school student with the rare ability to perfectly recall any piece of music he's heard only once. He has an unexpected encounter with Juri Makina when she discovers he's playing a piano melody that had spontaneously played on her phone earlier in class. This chance meeting sets in motion Akio's efforts to get to know Juri better, particularly her intellectual and emotional sides. As they interact, Akio uses music as a means to understand Juri's inner world.
