Rudd, also known as "Grubby Forager", is a skilled forager who has developed immunity to the Noxious Labyrinth's hazards through his frequent expeditions to gather medicinal herbs. He's recruited as a porter for an adventuring party, but his new teammates use him as bait to distract a monster, leaving him wounded and abandoned. To survive, Rudd breaks the taboo against eating monsters, and in doing so, he begins to gain power and abilities. This newfound strength sets him on a path where his foraging skills take on a darker, more intense purpose.
