Plastic Little is set on the planet Yietta, which the Galactic Federation has allowed to pay off its debts. However, there are those who would prevent Yietta's financial independence, and this includes capturing Yietta's unique life forms for profit. Tita, the 17-year-old captain of the Cha Cha Maru, gets caught up in a sinister plot to take over Yietta after she rescues a 16-year-old girl named Elysse from the military. The rescue puts Tita and her crew in danger, as the plotters believe Elysse has a vital computer code.
